Roadside America at its best. Great prices and great food. Had a giant cheeseburger for $4. Can't beat that.

I have been eating here since I was a small child. There food hasn't changed much, especially since the owner is the cook. The prices are reasonable. The food is fresh cooked. You will probably have to wait a while. It's not fast. You stand in line to order, they give you a number and then you go pick up your food. You have to ask for lids and ketchup. They are very frugal. You pay for refills. Love this place!

The line is long ... but it's worth it! Plus it gives you plenty of time to chat with the locals. We met so many nice and kind people while waiting in line. We even got some tips from the locals - order your burger "grilled" and be specific about what toppings you want (lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato, etc.) because they aren't necessarily included. Getting your burger "grilled" basically just means they grill your bun too - it was delicious! The owner still flips all the burgers in the restaurant kitchen ... he was back there doing his thing while we were there. Also, they have delicious homemade limeade (get it with cherry) and fried pickles. If none of these food items listed sound like your thing, don't worry, they have a large menu with options that appeal to every different kind of fast food taste.
P.S. Your kids will love it here - they will receive their kids meal in a classic car that they can take home :) -

Disgusting & overpriced. I decided to give them a second try after they reopened from their months of being closed. BAD decision. I ordered a double cheeseburger. But instead I received 1 dry, EXTREMELY thin patty. No cheese. 1 pickle? No lettuce & 1 random grilled onion. It looked like they picked it off the floor it was so discombobulated. I also ordered a large fry, they gave me a small fry and the fries were old and rock hard. I waited 35minutes in the drive through and only had 2 cars ahead of me. With my newborn in the backseat crying I drove straight home before checking the bag. I called their number to try to sort things, and no answer. Extremely frustrated. -ya'll.. I'm not exaggerating. This place sucks. How are they in business?

Seriously awesome tasting burger. It was cooked perfectly, the onions and tomato were nice and fresh. The restaurant itself was clean with Rt. 66 decor. The staff were fun and friendly.
Will definitely come back again on next trip.
